Hot Sauce - Heating Things Up

By Chris McCarthy There is nothing like a dash of hot sauce to liven up even the blandest of all dishes. In fact, true to the genre of sauces all over the world, the hot sauce is not only an accompaniment but also does honors as the prime ingredient in many dishes. The term hot sauce could not have been more apt for it refers to any hot and spicy sauce made from chilly peppers or chilly extracts and vinegar. Thus, you can have sauces made from any kind of chilly pepper (i.e., the fruits of plants hailing from the Capsicum family) like red peppers, habanera or tabasco. The Tabasco sauce is the most popular amongst all the hot sauces available. How hot your hot sauce is going to be is determined by the type of pepper being used. Thus, you have the bell pepper with a barely-there taste at one end of the spectrum and the robust habaneros, which will work up quite a steam, at the other end. Interestingly, it is a substance called capsaicin, which imparts the characteristic heat to the pepper. The hot sauce is a popular constituent in many Mexican and Cajun dishes and in Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. However, its most widespread use is, as a barbeque accompaniment. Barbecue sauce is poured onto grilled or barbecued meat. It is also used as a dipper. A hot barbecue sauce is usually a blend of sweet, sour and spicy elements and the most popular combination contains tomato flavorings, vinegar and sugar. Barbecue sauces come in myriad forms, with every region boasting of their native BBQ sauce. Thus you have the fiery Texas variety with a tomato base, the vinegar and tomato based Arkansas variety tempered down by molasses, the white mayonnaise based Alabama type and the black pepper, mustard and vinegar concoction hailing from South Carolina. For all the fire they spew, hot pepper sauces are easy to prepare. Take a few peppers (the number wholly depends on how hot your sauce will be) like habanera or tabasco, a cup of water, 1/3 cup red wine vinegar, one bell pepper, a tablespoon of paprika, salt to taste and cumin if you so desire. Chop or grind the peppers and boil it with all the ingredients. Lastly, crush this heady mixture in a blender. Your hot pepper sauce is ready. A word of caution While working with pepper and pepper sauces, do remember to don the gloves. Some peppers are nothing short of live ammunition and are known to cause skin irritation and are especially nasty when they get into the eyes. There is more to a pepper than just the tangy taste. Peppers are storehouses of vitamins A, C and E, potassium and folic acid. So apart from the distinct taste, the hot sauces also impart some nutritional value to the dishes they grace. The hot sauce holds its own in whatever dish it appears. As the saying goes, like it or loathe it, you just cannot ignore it. The Day I Met You, An Interracial Love Story (Part 2)

By Tameka Norris At first we seemed to hit it off famously.
That is... until religion entered the picture. At least on his side. In fact he still pokes fun at me, calling me a "looney" from time to time whenever I bring up certain viewpoints of Christianity. But I suppose there are worse things to be called... and for dishonorable reasons. And he means it all in good humor. In the beginning, there were so many days we spoke about faith and beliefs. Extended emails or high heated debates on AIM about the rights and wrongs of Christianity. Most of the time which I spent defending it. We spent months getting to know one another and talking back and forth by email almost every single day. And that's when the struggle started. I started to have feelings for Michael. And at this point in my life it was about the worst thing that could happen. In my younger years I had spent ages dreaming about love and convincing myself that any fabricated emotion for any guy equalled love. During which I had made a foolish mistake of telling one or two men whom I got to know fairly wellthat I loved or cared for them. (Stupid stupid stupid!) So by the time I was in my twenties... I didn't want anything to do with love. I was afraid. I never had the teenage experiences that most girls had. The first kiss. The first date, or anything else that followed. All of my high school years were spent drooling over John and turning down any offers I had in the process. So by the time I was an adult... I was still a child in that aspect. And anyone who could've ever taught me much about love wasn't around, except for my mother. It was just my sister, my mother, and me. And we all fended for ourselves. Not to mention, oftentimes we were each other's enemies. So when love came... I wasn't ready. And I definitely didn't want it. And then one particular day something happened that changed everything for me. Michael and I were having one of our usual long winded debates. He had emailed me his reply and I sat myself down at the table to write him back. He had once again fired me up and I was going to make sure that whatever retort I hadit was going to be a good one. So I settled myself in the chair and began writing... then about halfway down the letter... I had a vision. Suddenly, I was in some place like Africa and there were two children next to me. African children. I was on a missionary trip and I looked up and Michael was walking toward me, smiling. I remember thinking how handsome he looked, and how much I loved that special sparkle that only his blue eyes could illuminate. And there was this feeling of contentment that was in the air. A serene indication that the grief had passed and that everything was okay. The sort that you get after a long stint of tribulation. And I heard the words, "I can't believe I ever put you through all of that" and then it was over. And from that day forward I knew Michael was the one. And I finally gave into how much I loved him. There was no longer the emotional struggle that inclined me to fight against such love that consumed me. He had my heart and he had it completely. All I can ever say from what I was given was that God had addressed my spirit with his spirit... and I felt I had always known him and had never known a day without him. After that initial period we talked several more months and grew even closer until one day... ... another woman entered the picture. A lady he had previously met at a course he had taken. He started chatting with her online and then the burden came. I was quite certain he really liked her... and I didn't stand a chance. For days I was plagued with grief. I spent the majority of my time alone in my room sulking, listening to sad songs, and crying. And when that finally became too much for me. I finally talked to my sister about it. And she said, "Well, have you told him? You know, it's possible he's thinking the same thing you're thinking and neither of your are saying anything." And when I looked back on the situation I told her it was possible. But still in, my heart, I was struggling with the fact that anyone could ever really love me. I wasn't what most men considered attractive. I was overweight... I was just not "the type." So I knew if I decided to tell Michael how I felt, it was a big risk and there was a big chance he would reject me. "But isn't it worth the risk?" I said to myself. "I promised myself the next time I felt anything for a man I would be brave enough to tell him I loved him." That had been an oath I had made to myself after the initial rejection from John. I had always regretted sending John a love letter rather than just openly admitting it. Because I never felt love was something you should be ashamed of. And with that thought I finally convinced myself and jumped on the computer, before I changed my mind, and wrote him a letter... To this day I don't remember a single thing I said except one very important phrase that said all that really mattered... "I'm in love with you." And with that said... I clicked "Send." Medical Care Is Just A Click Away

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Bob_Dean] Bob Dean I no longer miss work to go to the doctor. I no longer wait hours sitting in a doctor's office just to see the doctor. In the past, after seeing the doctor, I now no longer have to wait at a pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled. I now get medical treatment and prescriptions without leaving the house. I get all of this and it's just a click away. Not only a click away, but its also legal. Today's online pharmacies has made it very convenient for people who already know what their diagnosis is, and already know what medications work for them. Having said that, by no means am I recommending online pharmacies taking the place of your physician. What I am saying is a good reputable online pharmacy, with U. S. Physicians & Pharmacies, who prescribe FDA approved meds, is a great convenient, cheaper way to obtain medications for people who already know what meds they need. Also for people who don't have a regular physician at the time, but still need the care of a licensed physician. Only use online pharmacies located in the U. S, with U. S. Physicians & U. S. Pharmacies. Only use online pharmacies that require medical records where you actually speak to the physician on the phone. At that time you can ask any questions you may have, and the physician can ask you any questions about your treatment and medications needed. After my consultation with the physician, I receive my prescriptions the next day, shipped overnight, with two refills (a 90 day supply). In today's times where a lot of people like me who just don't have the time missing work to go to the doctor, a reputable online pharmacy is a wonderful, cheaper alternative. I am a pain management patient as well, so even people who suffer from chronic pain, with proper medical records, can obtain the proper pain medication needed to live a more productive and better quality of life. I AM Exercising! Why Don't I Lose Weight?

By Di Roberts I used to think my body was some kind of machine. I thought that losing weight was a simple matter of cutting the intake and/or increasing the output and soon I would look like your average Hollywood starlet. If I wanted to lose a pound, all I had to do was eat 3500 calories less than my maintenance level of 2000 calories a day or walk 35 miles or some combination of those. If you were of the same opinion you have probably noticed, like me, that the reality isn't quite so simple. In fact, the August/September issue of ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified News has an article by Ralph LaForge various factors that interact to determine just how many calories you burn during a given period of exercise. If you just starve yourself, you get unhealthy and the body gets to be very efficient at maintaining your weight on very reduced levels of calories. You are always hungry so you get crabby. What weight you did lose was muscle and water, with some fat, so when you relent, as you must if you have any survival instincts, you gain back all the pounds plus some extra ones and they are NOT attractive, firm muscular pounds. So you have a look at the magazines at the grocery checkout or your local newspaper and they convince you that you need to get moving, you need some horizontal movement, to get started down the road to slim, along with reasonable amounts of vegetables, fruits, protein sources, and whole grains. The idea is to create a 500 calorie per day deficit and then you'll lose a pound a week. I ran out and bought a pedometer and vowed to let no day go by without at least 10,000 steps, which is around four miles for average walking strides, and cut out that 3:00 PM latte. That should be a 500 calorie a day deficit, I thought. A week later I stepped expectantly on the scales and perhaps saw a tiny bit of shift to the left. Oops, maybe I miscalculated. Have you tried this? Did it work for you? Didn't think so. Actually that idea doesn't take into account the basal metabolism rate (BMR), which is the most important factor in determining our overall metabolic rates. The BMR determines the calories that you would be burning even if you were fast asleep, which need to be subtracted from your projected deficit total. Our BMR is in turn affected by a number of factors, some of which are beyond our control. We can't really do much about our genetics, your gender, your age, your internal body temperature, or how much thyroxin or adrenalin your body is releasing at the moment. But it also depends on how much you weigh, your body surface area, your lean body mass, whether you're in starvation mode, and other things you can influence over time. Taken together the number of factors that can influence you BMR and their interactions make it hard to estimate accurately. But when it comes to determining how much effect it has on calorie burn during exercise, the other major component is how much energy you're putting out during the exercise itself. Your current weight affects how many calories you burn doing any given exercise, which makes perfectly good sense. The more mass you are moving, the more energy it takes to do it. But the point is to reduce that mass, right? Especially the fatty part of it. The duration and intensity of the exercise is the major factor in determining its calorie and fat burning effects both during and after the exercise. For example, as Mr. La Forge points out, if a 154-pound person walks a mile at a rate of 3.5 miles per hour, she burns 54 calories. If she walks faster, say in the 3.5 to 5 m.p.h. range, it's 97 calories, and 107 calories if she jogs it. So it's not just the distance but how much effort you exert in covering that distance that counts. Using a treadmill reduces your effort and so also reduces your calorie burn. Exercise that doesn't fight gravity, like swimming or cycling, use fewer calories to cover that distance, too. So now we know it's good to do 10,000 steps every day but it is better to slowly work up to doing them faster. The basic aerobic exercise formula says you should determine your maximum heart rate (220 minus your age in years) and strive to maintain a level of exertion that keeps your pulse at 70 to 85 percent of that for 30 to 60 minutes in a row for at least 5 days of the week. That would be a good thing. Seems there's an even better thing called interval training. That's where you start slowly, say about 50 percent of your maximum heart rate for 5 minutes, then put on a burst to about 90 percent of max for 60 seconds, slow down again for 75 seconds, then another minute at close to full throttle, slow down for 75 seconds, and so on for four or so more rounds. Then take five minutes at 30 percent to cool down. That's just one example of a schedule you could use. So what do you accomplish with that? There was a study done at Laval University in Canada that compared results after standard aerobic conditioning (endurance) versus interval training. The standard aerobic group worked out longer, 45 minutes per session, 6 sessions per week for 20 weeks in a row (90 sessions), while the interval group did 30 minute sessions, 6 sessions per week for 15 weeks (60 sessions). The endurance group also burned twice as many calories during each session as the interval group. One would expect that the endurance group would have lost more fat, assuming similar diets for the two groups. But it turns out that the interval group reduced their body fat NINE times more than the endurance group. The reason is that the interval training boosts the resting metabolic rate so they burned more calories even when they weren't exercising. Sound good? Don't just get up off the couch and start sprinting. You have to work up to this and check with your doctor. But, as part of an overall training program, along with weight (resistance) training and flexibility/balance training, interval training is a good way to get the fat to burn off. Sometimes being a little breathless isn't a bad thing. Di Roberts, biomedical researcher and veteran of weight loss campaigns, runs a weight loss website that covers the many facets of weight management. You can enjoy reading articles, tips, news, and often irreverent commentary about weight loss on her site at: www.quickweightlossupdates.com/ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Di_Roberts http://EzineArticles.com/?I-AM-Exercising!-Why-Dont-I-Lose-Weight?&id=303867 ambien and throat irritation

Stress and Depression are an Invitation to Anxiety

By Jason Rickard Fortunately, if you're one of those poor unlucky people who cant fathom the idea of a break away from work and is constantly troubled and fussing over things, there are actually existing cures and various treatments for taking care of anxiety depression. Anxiety depression is actually characterized by all sorts of irregularities and erratic behavior from the person who is suffering from it. This is usually due to certain stress triggers that may tend to easily cause a person undue jitters and stress. Also, a lot of people who tend to get easily nervous over stressful activities are actually prone to having anxiety depression. Its just a matter of being strong-willed when it comes to facing difficult and stress-prone activities. Here are the various types of depression: Manic or Bipolar depression - characterized by sudden and extreme changes in ones mood, wherein one minute he or she is in an elevated state of euphoria, and the next minute they are in a depressed state. Dysthimia - characterized by a slight similarity with depression, although this time, it's been proven to be a lot less severe but of course with any case should be treated immediately. Cyclothemia - characterized by a slight similarity with Manic or Bipolar depression wherein the individual suffering from this mental illness may occasionally suffer from severe changes in one's moods. Seasonal Affective Disorder - characterized by falling in a rut only during specific seasons (i.e. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall). Anxiety actually helps you get psyched up towards facing certain "difficult situations"; anxiety therefore is actually a good thing. Anxiety depression however, is simply the opposite, not to be easily dismissed as a "case of the nerves"; Anxiety depression is in actuality an illness that can be caused from the biological makeup of an individual, or in other words, a hereditary illness. Also, there are actually various types of Anxiety depression, each having its own unique characteristics. Take for example Generalized Anxiety Disorder or GAD, this kind of Anxiety depression is a lot more complicated than the average Anxiety depression, in spite of possibly being a day-to-day habit for those who suffer this kind of Anxiety depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder actually makes the individual quite more paranoid than usual, anxiety attacks are more frequent even absurd at times. People suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder actually show a lot of symptoms from lack of sleep, to being unable to relax, getting tired easily, cannot concentrate on what they're doing and even suffering from depression. This kind of Anxiety depression is still curable and just a little work will actually do the trick. Consult a reputable cognitive behavior therapist who will help give the individual the therapy that he or she needs to help him or her loosen up. Also prescribed medicines are sort of a must to help these individuals battle anxiety attacks, helping them calm down and relax. It is Not About Superior Technology!

By Daniel Scocco There are many differences between managing mature markets and new ones, where innovation plays a central role. In existing and mature markets companies follow the principles of good management. They protect intellectual property, try to be the first to market, invest in internal capabilities and superior technology. In emerging and innovative markets, however, a completely different managerial mindset is required. Competing in those markets, contrary to what most people believe, is not about having a superior technology. It is beyond discussion the fact that technological excellence is a building block of competitive advantage in most industries. In emerging markets, however, superior technology is neither necessary nor sufficient to win. The introduction of the Computer-Assisted Tomography systems illustrates the point. The first CAT scanner was introduced in 1972 by EMI, a British firm that patented all the key technologies involved. The system basically transferred X-rays and other diagnostic information into a three-dimensional computerized image. After a couple of years established manufacturers of medical equipment, including General Electric and Siemens, jumped into the new market. EMI, however, did not feel threatened. It had undoubtedly the best technology around; its scanners had a much higher definition and more advanced features. General Electric knew it could not compete head to head with EMI, it decided therefore to invest in scanners with a faster scanning speed, at the expense of image quality. After some years General Electric had conquered the vast majority of US market for CAT scanners, despite its inferior technology. Over that period all the major hospitals were having critical problems with patient throughput, hence why they decided to go with General Electrics equipment. EMI invested too much in its technology and ignored what was happening in the surrounding environment. Competing in emerging markets is not about superior technology but rather about understanding the customers need and evolving your product rapidly to match the changes in the market place. Check out the Innovation Zen site for more information on innovation management, business strategy, technology and more. How Woodworking Jigs Can Save You Much Headache

By Linden K. Walhard It doesnt take very many times for the average homeowner to experience once drilling or cutting without jigs to know the value of a good woodworking jig. It makes for an aggravating woodworking experience when the holes that youre drilling go too deep, or for instance when a picture frame molding wont square up when its time to glue and nail. Thats not all. There are also the times when dovetail or routing cuts dont measure up. So, the only way to really resolve this is to use the right jig for the job. These dont have to be expensive and fancy either. Usually youll be able to make your own if its a smaller project. But, if youre an avid hobbyist, or if woodworking is your job, then youll find its well worth it to just invest in a nice collection of jigs. Youll save tons of money in ruined wood and projects, plus save buckets of time. Heres a few jigs that you will want to have handy. The dowel jig will let you cut dowel holes precisely to diameter and length. These work best for furniture making, such as in holding together drawer fronts to the frame, or for putting in tight fitting legs to chairs and tables. Youll also want to have a dovetail jig for furniture making. These will give your drawers a professional look. This is the way that drawers were built to last on those that were constructed 50 plus years ago. Using this jig is often the reason that these pieces of furniture are still around. The router jig will support wood as it passes through a saw, which then creates a fine, decorative detailing for professional looking woodworking projects. Using this type of jig creates the professional appearance of beveled edges on tabletops and drawer faces with an exact precision. Now the Kreg jig is a great example where form meets function. This set will usually come with face clamps that support the jigs for exactness. With these jigs, you can drill to detailed depths and size, to create a perfectly fitted match. One strategy to employ if you dont have a jig on hand in the midst of a drilling job is quite functional and even a bit fancy. Tape a thick band of masking tape around the drill bit at the depth you need. Then as youre drilling youll be able to see where to stop applying the pressure. Though its not quite as precise, it works wonders! That kind of quick fix is okay if youre simply doing the rare woodworking job, but to save yourself from frustration (it can be difficult to peel the gooey tape off the drill bit) and more precision, professional grade woodworking jigs are the best way to go. If youre still not sure which jig is the right one for your job, asking for help at your local hardware store will save you much frustration, rather than the old trial and error method. Being especially interested in router accessories and routing, Linden Walhard has been writing various online reports on the topic. His contributions on woodworking jigs can be encountered on http://www.insidewoodworking.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Linden_K._Walhard http://EzineArticles.com/?How-Woodworking-Jigs-Can-Save-You-Much-Headache&id=449493 ambien vs low testostrrone

Love Without Stress? Yes!

By G. Gaynor McTigue February is Valentine's month, a time when popular culture compels you willy-nilly to focus more on your relationship, which may not be cruising along as smoothly as it once was. Indeed, it may even be a nagging source of tension for both of you. Here are several strategies, excerpted from my new book "400 Ways to Stop Stress Now...and Forever!" which can help you ease the chill and restore a little vitality and glow to your love life. Put affection back into your relationship. A small amount of affection can melt days, months, even years of tension, distance and discord between you and your partner. Take the initiative, swallow your pride and rekindle the affection you once thrived on. A reassuring hand on the shoulder, a simple kiss, a gentle hug are good places to start. Keep at it, even if it's not immediately returned or acknowledged. In time a thaw will take hold, and warmth and intimacy likely ensue. A daily dose of affection can often soothe what words can't. Don't let your marriage become a lifelong feud. Marriage isn't a competition to see whose ways and viewpoints ultimately win out. If you take that attitude -- always trying to prove you're right and the other is wrong -- expect a life of tension and discord. Instead, welcome your partner's input and perspective, work together to achieve goals, and know when it's more important to back off than get your way. (How would you like to lose all the time?) View marriage as sharing -- not hoarding -- and your days are sure to be happier and more stress-free. Give a gift when there's no reason to. Yes, it's fun to give gifts on birthdays, holidays and anniversaries. But isn't it more or less required, or at least expected? And aren't we celebrating the event more than the person? Give a gift to someone when it's NOT expected. See how really good it will make the both of you feel. The best part is, gifts of this nature can be small and inexpensive and still have a wonderful effect. Because it's a genuine expression of friendship, love or appreciation. And it shifts the focus back to who -- rather than what -- is important in life. So stop off occasionally and pick up a surprise gift. Set aside time for each other. Are you too busy to be a husband? Wife? Lover? Relationships often get shortchanged in the hubbub of daily life. In fact, they're usually first to get tossed aside, often to make room for the most insignificant things. That's taking each other too much for granted. You risk letting your intimacy fade and your relationship wither. Keep both well nourished. Set aside a chunk of time each week to spend together, just the two of you. Make it inviolable, mandatory, and go out and have a good time. Strong relationships stay strong by building in essential time for each other. Why shortchange yourself? Have more fun in bed. So advised a popular mattress ad. And they had a point. You don't need a study (like the one mentioned below) to tell you that a healthy sex life can reduce stress. As much as a lack of sex can aggravate it. But today, with our busy schedules and relentless ambitions, sex for many couples has become little more than an afterthought. Sometimes overlooked entirely. This is obviously unhealthy for the relationship. Which adds to even greater stress. Now, the study. According to the Royal Hospital in Edinburgh, a healthy sex life can make you look up to seven years younger, lead to greater contentment and help you sleep better. Why argue? Light the candle, draw the shades and... Why make yourself crazy? G. Gaynor McTigue is a bestselling author, stress coach and motivational speaker whose sixth book "400 Ways to Stop Stress Now...and Forever!" has just been published. Relocation with Kids

By Neil Payne Relocation can be a stressful affair. Selling or renting your home, shipping belongings, saying bye to friends and family, leaving your job and worrying about life and work in the new country are but a few of the pressures one feels before and during a relocation. One area of concern for parents is the children. Relocation with children doubles the stresses and worries. Most adults find relocation traumatic or at least unsettling, so imagine how a child feels. Fear, sadness and anxiety are all symptoms of relocation for children too. It is critical for parents to make the relocation process as pain free as possible for children. Children must be made to feel included in the relocation and be made fully aware of where they are going. By being part of the relocation a child feels more involved and informed and thus reduces their levels of tension and fear. Below are some tips for parents on how to help their children enjoy the relocation process: Explain the relocation talk the children through the relocation process. Why are we moving? When? How? Will we come back home? Where will they live? What about their friends? Involve the children let your children help where they can by looking at brochures for apartments or houses, potential schools, picking removal companies, packing and arranging a good-bye party for friends and family. Personal Possessions if your children are attached to certain things such as a pet, toy, book, clothes or blanket make sure you take them with you. This makes the new home seem more familiar. Learn about the host country make an effort to teach the children as much as you can about their new home in imaginative ways. Show them pictures, books, movies, magazines and brochures. If you are moving to India take them to an Indian restaurant. If you are moving to the Gulf take them to a mosque. The more they learn about the country the less they fear the relocation. Learn the Language if there is enough time before the move, have your children take language lessons. This will equip them with a useful skill when they arrive in the new country and make it seem less alien. Find a pen pal try and find a pen pal for your children from the new country. This will help the children become excited about the move and enable them to learn a little about the new culture. Convey excitement it is critical that parents always express a sense of excitement, wonder and adventure when discussing the relocation. If the relocation is talked about negatively or hesitantly the children will always pick up on it. These are but a few tips that if followed will help your child come to terms with and positively become involved with the relocation process. Comfort Food Trends Bring Us Back to Our Roots

By Karen Ciancio Comfort food. It even sounds warm and welcoming - like cuddling up by the fire on a cold winter day. Comfort food trends have seen a real resurgence in recent years and our desire for comfort food seems to be holding strong. So what is comfort food? Generally it's the food we have good memories about, the food we think of when we hear the word homemade, and that reminds us of simpler times. The list of favorite comfort foods can be different for each of us. While homemade macaroni and cheese and meatloaf with mashed potatoes have been staples for many of us, for some of us comfort food may include a delicious cheesy lasagna, or yummy sweet potato pie. We all tend to love the food that takes us back to our roots - the foods we grew up with. Some Of Our Top Comfort Food Choices Were Found To Be: - Soup
- Meatloaf
- Pasta sauces
- Pot pies
- Mashed potatoes
- Pizza
- Potato salad
- Macaroni and cheese
- Biscuits and scones
- Chili
- Beef stew
- Fruit pies
- Chocolate chip cookies Why the increased desire for comfort foods? It seems to be a combination of things. People are busier and more stressed than ever. The last few years have also resulted in many of us feeling less safe in the world. We want to feel warm and safe again, the way we did when we were young and the world seemed simpler. Comfort food trend watchers say that we are craving the foods we grew up with. People want to enjoy their homes and entertain at home. We're expressing an interest in cooking everything from easy party food recipes to BBQ to slow cooked roasts with all the trimmings. We also want to experience different tastes, sometimes tastes from around the world, sometimes the familiar foods we love, with twist or an extra bit of pizzazz. So we have things like garlic mashed potatoes, 4 cheese macaroni and cheese and thin crust gourmet pizzas. We're also a population that is becoming more aware of health and making healthy food choices. With aging baby boomers creating a bulge in our populations, healthy lifestyle trends are front and center. We want fewer calories but all the taste, healthier eating with the comforts of our favorite foods. So where does this leave us? How do we combine comfort food trends with healthier lifestyle trends? As much as we love our comfort foods many of us now look for ways to turn them into healthier choices, with a lower fat content and fewer calories. We tweak those great recipes from the past so we maintain (or sometimes even improve) the taste but forgo some of the fat, unhealthy carbs and sugar content. And while most of us are still eating our favorite comfort foods, maybe it's just a little less often. We might decide to share that piece of amazing cheesecake so we get the taste but not the pounds. We're going back to our roots - but with a nod to healthy food choices and a few wonderful, tasty twists along the way. Karen Ciancio is a cook and lover of all things food and cooking related. Her website http://www.cookingnook.com contains recipes for comfort foods, plus lots of other recipes, cooking tips, measurement conversions and kitchen ideas. Researching the Best New Car Loan Interest Rate

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder You dont need to accept the loan interest rate the car dealer offers you.
This may come as a bit of a shock to some car buyers who have begrudgingly
accepted a less than desirable rate because they didnt think there was an
alternative. By doing a bit of research into current loan rates before
purchasing a new car, a person can save lots of cash in the long run.

Secure Financing First
Its a good idea to secure financing for a new car before even picking out the
car. This can be done through a bank or credit union, and it takes a lot of the
pressure off the car-buying process. Many times a dealer may actually be able to
beat the interest rate, and that makes for a win-win situation because you
ultimately wind up with the best rate possible.

Become Familiar with Current Interest Rates
Make sure to check out one of the many websites available that follow and
forecast interest rates. Its good to know what the interest rate trends are for
new car loans before applying; this way there is no surprise if rates are much
higher than you thought. After all, interest rates are constantly changing. Just
because your last car loan was at 3.9%, it doesnt mean youll be able to find a
deal like that on future loans.

Compare Rates Online
Some websites act as loan brokers in the sense that they will take all the
necessary information and disseminate it to several lending institutions in
order to secure the best rate possible. Sometimes the best route to go is
through your own bank. If they have the lowest rates you can find, then there is
no reason to go through all the hassle of applying to many different lenders.

Researching the best new car loan interest rate is really worth it, and can save
quite a bit of money if done right. To see a list of recommended lenders for a [http://www.abcloanguide.com/autoloans.shtml]new car loan lowest

What Type of a Kisser Are You?

By Yair Czitrom As we all know, there are many types of kiss. Here are some of them, who is the type that uses them and what they mean:
The French kiss - passion. Lasts for ever. Involves all parts of the mouth and excites the rest of the body. The point of this kiss is a meeting between the two tongues. The French kiss is a kind of trespassing to ones privacy and can sometimes stimulate a rejection especially if the partner is the shy/afraid/close type. The overall kiss - Starts with the mouth, goes to the cheeks, the nose, the forehead and sometimes further. The woodpecker kiss - The name says it all. Very economic, quick and sometimes even irritating. The polite kiss - Based on the woodpecker kiss but with more hesitation in it: should I kiss on the given cheek or should i just make a low light sound of kiss next to the ear? The aunty kiss - Suction a part of someones cheek into a foreign mouth while leaving some lipstick on it. The closed eyes kiss - usually by very romantic people that like to fantasies. While they close the eyes, they get the opportunity to concentrate on their fantasy, as they do not want it to be ruined by a nose hair sticking out of the partners nose, god forbid. The opened eyes kiss - those people are always on a watch. Got to be in control. Connected to reality. Can not and would not let this experience swap them away. There is no fear on crashing down as they never left the ground. Those people and the suspicious, careful controlled type. The sterilized kiss - people who kiss like that are to sterile for this passion act. For them, a kiss must be clean and descent. Very polite and probablyboring. The total kiss - Completely in it. They give it all. Love maniacs. They will never limit their kiss to one specific part of the body. The locked lips kiss - Signalizing some kind of fear, shyness or just I dont feel like it really. It is like talking to someone behind a door with a chain. The vacuum kiss - A passion kiss that might hurt. It is a kiss the kind of arguing with the partner - my place or yours? It is like the kisser is trying to swallow the partner - not so much for love as for lust.

So..What type of kisser are you?

A Picture Perfect Wedding

By Low Jeremy Weddings are definitely one of the happiest moments in a persons life. But, this momentous occasion does not always come as blissful as the event itself. Days and even months before the big day, couples usually cram up with the littlest details. The process of listing down and cutting down everything into specific detailsthe wedding date, the venue, the reception, the caterer, the designer of the gown and suit, all the way down to the wedding coverageare the areas where stress usually ushers in. Due to hectic schedules, most couples usually do not pay much attention to one of the crucial things in any weddingthe wedding coverage. Despite the overwhelming tension and excitement, couples do not have to be nonchalant when choosing their wedding photographers if they want their fun times and precious memories recorded very well. WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PREFERENCES To avoid making this slight neglect that usually leads disastrous results, couples have to decide first what kind of wedding photography they would want to have. Most wedding photographers today categorize the types of wedding photography into two: the traditional or classic style and the wedding photojournalistic style. The most common style used by wedding photographers today, the traditional or classic wedding photography is considered as a timeless and the safest style because you normally see in countless wedding albums. Characterized by classic poses of subjects aware of the camera, this style involves so much control from the photographer because he is in-charge in arranging individual and group shots before, during, and even after the wedding. Having excellent portraiture skills, expect the photographer to focus more on the quality of the photograph by making the subject look great from the littlest details. Expect typical wedding photos like pre-ceremony pictures, formal shots of the bride and groom posing with brides maids and ushers, cake cutting, garter and bouquet toss, and the like when you choose a classic wedding photography. This style is ideal if the couple would want to keep portraits of family members for their wedding album. If the couple is adventurous and unconventional, then you might want to consider the wedding photojournalistic style of photography on your big day. An increasingly popular style today, wedding photojournalism offers fresh and new style of taking photos in the occasion. Characterized by candid shots of the subjects unaware of the moving camera, the photojournalism style lets the attendees act freely to capture their pure and true emotion. Sourcing style from his experience in journalism, the photojournalist pays more attention to minute details and candid shots rather than arranged ones. Hes more into eyeing interesting moments and capturing those in his lens to produce a narrative collection of images that tell a story. Although some traditional poses will be present, expect photos that show actual emotions of the bride and groom and of other participants throughout the duration of the wedding when you choose the photojournalism style. In order to avoid ruining the documentation of your wedding, here are some tips in making your wedding a picture perfect one: 1. Weddings are one of the most exciting chapters of ones life. Make sure that you choose a wedding photographer that can meet all your standards. Meet with the photographer before hand the so you could discuss the details you want. 2. Inform the important participants about the schedule of photo sessions and make sure everyone attends the rehearsal to cut down the stress. 3. Have a reception area so guests can be informed about the itinerary. This will set the occasion in order. (MS) Multiple Sclerosis Treatment with Alternative Medicine: Medical Intuition & Energy Healing

By Brent Atwater Montel Williams called it an insidious disease. Richard Pryor passed away with its complications, and Michael Wellford, when diagnosed, just said "I'm NOT having it!" Multiple Sclerosis or MS is a slow progressing disorder and then disease that drains its owners of energy and then life functioning abilities. Multiple Sclerosis symptoms, like a shadow, are always there, even in remission, and ever present in its ultimate progression. When you receive notification that you need to be tested for multiple sclerosis symptoms, your mind definitely has something to deal with. There are so many "what ifs" to consider, and an entire new future to contemplate that is mind-boggling. Even the strongest individuals succumb to moments of random horror, selective thought patterns, and
then a bone chilling resolve of sorts as to how to handle their diagnosis. When that blood test and MRI scan come back negative for those that are lucky, you are ever grateful for being spared the "positive" test result. As an international alternative medical specialist, medical intuitive and intuitive distant energy healer I work with Multiple Sclerosis alternative medicine treatment for clients. Although addressing physical problems is a major concern, first one must address the underlying emotional and mental contributions that direct the body to manifest the disease. If the disorder is not a Karmic journey that the soul has chosen to experience, then I begin with positive mind over matter actions, attitudes and affirmations. In deciding right now, this very minute, to address and make positive free will choices to change your mind's attitude about your multiple sclerosis symptoms immediately starts a healing process. I have found that in early stage MS mental positive attitude creates a greater immune system response that in turn helps diminish symptoms. It's the old adage of YOUR mind over YOUR matter. Your cells are here to house your life force energy called your Soul. You are the commander of your cells, ie your body, and YOU are the superintendent of your building ie your body, so how you handle your maintenance is all part of the healing journey. Having a "can do" attitude directs your cellular structure to do just that, assist in healing itself. My personal multiple sclerosis research has shown that the fatigue suffered by most MS clients can be greatly diminished by mental resolve to get up and get going and to command your cells to do so. Further investigations have illustrated that prayers, affirmations, and talking to and commanding your cells have great beneficial results. Once we have established a solid mental directive to be as physically healed as possible, we now address physical concerns and complications with energy healing. Energy healing and multiple sclerosis shows great promise. By using directed electromagnetic bio molecular energy healing, we can reframe bio structures to their initial blueprint of health. Neural pathways can be restructured so that those with paralysis can move their legs or arms. Numb extremities can be revived and regenerated to sensation. In several clients' with these complications, after the cellular and neural connections were restored and regenerated, physical therapy was used to restore their muscles that had atrophied due to lack of use over months or years. Other sensations such as tingling can be reversed by regenerating the nerve's mylen sheath. To date, various multiple sclerosis complications can be reversed, and or put into remission or lessened with energy healing. In the future, energy healing and using mind over your matter biofeedback with your cells, will be another form of multiple sclerosis treatment that will facilitate and create healthy bodies for those experiencing MS. Does that in and of itself mean that he is cheating on me? Also, just because he may increase the amount of time he spends on the computer, does that mean that he's cheating on me too? Do you see what I mean by these lists creating more doubts. Here's the thing, you know what you marriage is normally like. Do you notice changes? Do things appear to be different than they were? Is this just because the two of you are settling into a comfort zone and allowing your relationship to slip or is it something more? As I said, you know what your relationship is normally. How far from normal do you think things are right now? If you feel that things are way off base in your relationship then they probably are. That does not mean that your partner is cheating. It means there is something wrong and you need to figure out what that is. Is it on your end or your partners end? Try to open the lines of communication with your partner! Many, many affairs happen because partners stopped communicating. Don't just use the lists that are circulating out there! They are not concrete signs that tell you for sure if your partner is cheating. Their useful purpose is in the fact that they get you thinking! Don't Just Work for Money-Let Money Work for You!

By Milton Drepaul Once you start earning money begin to consider ways of leveraging money. This is the art of taking small sums of money to move larger amounts. Many young people waste their 20's getting into debt buying flashy products. This is the decade when you usually don't yet have a family and is the best time to lay the foundation for future riches. Learn about using options to buy real estate for example.
Also live well below what you are earning say 10-20% below.Use the excess money to save and invest.Learn to get value for money in the products and services you buy. Ninety percent of people are hypnotized by advertising into becoming consumers. They lazily buy products and services many of which are mere toys to make them feel happy. Ten percent use their imagination and creativity to generate wealth usually by doing something they genuinely love. Writers, songwriters and software creators are examples of people who work intensely for a while and then sit back and earn royalties on their creative work. If you have vision, guts, gumption, discipline and determination you can create your own company. Many examples abound of businesses started in a garage( Apple) or dorm room (Google)that are billion dollar enterprises. We live in an age where imagination and the intangible can be marketed easily.Try creating an internet business! If you like the stock market begin to notice trends. Look for stocks just staring out. Those in the $5-$10 range.Learn all you can about the company, the sector and its products. Use both your intellect and intuition. Ride them to the top. Most of all do some serious work on your feelings about wealth and money. Many of us are screwed up by family myths or cultural beliefs about wealth and success in making money. I recommend Harv Eker's " Secrets of The Millionaire Mind" and his Millionaire Mind Intensive seminars. They fast track you on the way to thinking wealthy by replacing negative beliefs about money and wealth with positive ones. Finally I would advise reading Stuart Wilde's "The Little Money Bible" (Hay House 1998).In an amusing but effective way he teaches you the Ten Laws of Abundance. It's a small book. Read it over and over until you master the basic concept--Money, like everything else on the planet, is a form of energy. Milton Drepaul is co-author of CXC English and CXC English B .
